May is National Poetry Month!

Geek With Me

Geek with me;
whether you'd like
to just geek out
or actually be a geek
is up to you, both
are acceptable here.

Sometimes I geek out
and am a geek
at the same time;
it's a good way to find out
who your real friends are.

Todays sterotypical geeks are a lot more accepted then the past stereotypical geeks. I feel I am a geek, and I'm proud of it. What makes a geek anyways? The fact that I use the computer probably 70% of the day, I write poetry, live off of caffiene, read philosophy books? Do these things make on a geek? Maybe today, I would fit the definition... Yesterdays definitions seems to be those with pocket protectors, thick framed glasses with tape in the center, black socks up the knees, ect... I am todays geek, I am your friend in all my eccentricness.

It must be the writing of poetry that pushes one over the edge. Otherwise, by your definition, I would be a geek too.

I thought it named the dude who bit the head off the chicken in the traveling fair. What boat to the future was I not on?

Back to the Future is something I can geek about for hours!
