What A Suprise
when I found out you
would be there.
It took me by surprise when
it rained so long after not raining,
and the flood that came
surprised us with its strength.
The cost of housing
is very surprising these days,
and we are surprised
none of our elected officials
seem to be doing anything
about the cost of housing
these days.
What a surprise
when the punchline comes,
when the puppet pops
out of the box, and after
the sweet surprise
of the sunset, a surprisingly
dark night fell.
